Stafford Terrace is situated just off Kensington High Street where these two classic Grade II listed buildings were in a very poor state of repair.
Works involved extensive structural work to bring stability to the buildings roof and fabric repairs made to make it watertight before the main refurbishment could commence.
Due to the internal deterioration, works included extensive plaster repair and cornice matching where missing and ornate ceilings had to be renewed.
Numerous samples were carried out to ensure that new works both matched and were sympathetic to the existing building.
All works were carried out under English Heritage, The Listed Building Council and the Projects Architects.
